James Greco for Meadowlake Golf Villas and Centex Homes said:

Wants to study the project for feasibility and that they need a community plan amendment to adjust the density within the community.  Not to exceed the 1600 unit maximum for the Hidden Meadows area. Considering clustering, about 10 units each

Frey said that Mountain Meadow Road near the Golf Course is part of the Gateway to the community and pastoral setting would be interrupted by this proposal.   He also said that the already difficult traffic at Mountain Meadow Rd and Champagne Blvd would be increased.  He also pointed out that the increased density would cause an evacuation problem in case of a wildfire and that there is limited egress from the area.

Coultas said that the community would have chosen high density housing as the last choice for use of this land.

Participants mentioned saving the oaks, the need to modernize the course and that the golf course is center of community.

Alter read a letter supporting limited development.
